Shauna Gamble '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Shauna Gamble. Soccer is my passion. I am a dedicated, persistent, and hardworking individual who always gives 100 percent in all I do. I continually strive to improve my skills and develop as a player.

Coaches consistently comment on my drive and perseverance in games and in practices. They have rewarded my leadership and work ethic with captain's honors. Referees, after games, have complimented me on my style of play and exhibition of sportsmanship. Players and parents alike kindly recognize my contribution to the team and have voted me as the Fans and Parents’ Player of the Year, two years in a row for my former club team.

I started playing soccer when I was four years old, and fell in love with the sport immediately. I first joined Club 5 years ago, starting on a gold level team, Palm Desert Soccer Club. Since then, I have made my way up to the Arsenal ECNL Girls 05 team. There, I plan to keep developing as a player, with the goal of becoming a college starter. The positions I have played in the past have been the 6, 8, 10, and also the 9. I prefer playing in the midfield, specifically the 8, but I will play wherever my coach needs me to play for the betterment of our team.

Freshman year, I was a Starter on Varsity Soccer at Palm Springs High School and was named First Team All Conference. I also played Varsity Volleyball that same year. Academically, I ended with a 4.5 GPA and was 2nd in my class out of 433 students. With much hard work, I was able to balance academics, athletics, and volunteer work. I maintained high grades, played high school volleyball and club soccer simultaneously in the fall, and played high school soccer in the winter. I also dedicated time to help my community in National Charity League and made time to be a leader at my school through Associated Student Body.  Last year, my sophomore year, I maintained those same high standards of excellence while also staying in the Top 3 of my class with a GPA of 4.57.   I was honored with First Team All Conference and recognized as All Conference Offensive Player of the Year.
