Personal Statement

Being a goalkeeper, I have a unique view of the field that no other player has. With that said, I have the power to help the rest of the players on the field be able to execute the game to the best of their abilities. Goalkeeping is as much mental as it is physical if not, more. All strategy that goes into the communication starts with me as a goalkeeper has to be said in a way that the field players are able to process quickly.  What I believe sets me apart from other goalkeepers is my ability to communicate with my players while on the field and my determination to get better. Over the past 6 years that I have been playing the position,  I have always pushed myself to be the best that I can to help my team out and be a reliable asset.  Going forward, I would love to surround myself in an environment that challenges me to get better both on the field and in the classroom.  As for my academics, I plan to major in Exercise Science and after college, work with athletes to continue in the field of sports for the rest of my life.
