As a wrestler and a person, I am extremely detail-oriented. My favorite part of wrestling practice is refining techniques in a way that makes them more beautiful every day. I love it when the skills I try to perfect in practice come out in a competition. I try to see wrestling as a performance where I have a chance to showcase my skill.
After 5th grade, my family moved to rural Nebraska for 2 years and I had a full switch of the type of people I was used to in Silicon Valley California. We moved back home to California, but I feel that my experience there opened my eyes to how different people live in other parts of the country. I consider myself to be a very versatile person.
In my city, Palo Alto, there is a strict academic social standard that pressures students to perform at a higher level than the rest of the country. Growing up with these extremely academically motivated people as my friends has given me an accelerated academic motivation in addition to my passion for wrestling.
My father, Braumon Creighton, was a 2 time NCAA II national champion for the University of Nebraska at Omaha. With his guidance as my father and my coach, I have had the opportunity to do things like have private lessons with David Taylor, Pat Smith, Kenny Monday, Yianni Diakmahalis, and Olympic USA Freestyle coach Kevin Jackson. Kaid Brock, OK state All-American has been a personal coach of mine since 2013. It is these personal connections, my attention to the fine details of the art of wrestling, and my academic and athletic prowess that sets me apart from my competition.
