Hello Coaches! My name is Alexia Holdren and I am so excited to have the possibility of continuing my soccer career into college. I am the class of 2025 at Foothill High School located in a small city named Palo Cedro in California. I have played 5 years of competition soccer plus many years prior with RYSL (Redding Youth Soccer League). The travel club that I have played with throughout my competition life is known as the Missfits. I am currently on the Missfits Adrenaline which is a team that is a year older than me. While I have not been goalie throughout my entire soccer life, I have played the position in all my years of competition soccer and I was able to gain the skills that make me successful on any team I am in. My determination, communication skills, reflexes, compatibility, and so much more have brought me farther than I ever could have imagined. Though I can be shy when meeting new people, that does not stop my performance on the field in terms of communicating with my teammates. The last two teams I was in, I had to fight my way to the top of the ranks as I went from starting on the bench to becoming the starting goalie. While it was not easy, I continued to push myself until I reached my goal. Not only did I play competition soccer, but also competitive swimming for 10 years with a program through the YMCA. Swimming was able to help me not only as a person, but also in soccer as I grew stronger with the experience. Even while engaged in two competition teams, I was able to keep up Tae Kwon Do, a form of martial arts. I have been attending classes for 10 years and now and I'm a second degree black belt. It was not easy, but between the three sports and school, I learned how to manage my time excellently which is why I was still able to keep a 4.0 GPA average throughout my freshman year of High School.
