I have been playing soccer for as long as I can remember. When I was little and played AYSO, my dad was my coach for many years. He loves soccer and is the reason I started playing. When I was on his team, I was never really that interested in the game. I was fast and liked to run after the ball, I was aggressive but enjoyed the friendship and team bonding activities most. As the years went by I played on the AYSO select team and then eventually I got asked to be on a club team in fifth grade where I noticed that everyone was good. I noticed that they had new skills I didn't know, better touches, and could kick the ball correctly. I was definitely nervous, but joined the team and knew I had some of what the team would need. The first few games I played with my team, I could see that I was the fastest out there and had the most endurance but I knew that I lacked in skill. I got away with it because of my strengths. I ignored working on skills because I knew that it was my weakness and it can be hard to work on something that is challenging, but then when I got pulled up to a higher level team, it was then that I really became interested in the game. I wanted to be the best player I could be, a complete player with not just speed and great cardio but skilled too. I started doing private trainings and trainings at TOCA and both of those completely changed my game. My quickness, skills, and touch on the ball improved greatly. Fast forward a few more years and I was scouted for the LAFC Slammers ECNL RL team. This is where I am currently and I'm still doing private trainings and TOCA trainings aside from my team trainings. On my own, I am working on finishing off of corners, trapping/first touch, and skills. I am striving to become the best player and person I can be.
I am a good candidate for your team due to my determination and hard work. I am different from others due to my work ethic, personal drive, speed, and height. As mentioned, I always work hard to be the best I can be on and off the field. Some current goals I have are to play Division 1 soccer in college and improve my technical game.
