Mina Nagashima '27 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Mina O. Nagashima, a hard working, dedicated, creative and a coachable Center Midfielder looking for a college program which will allow me to grow as a player and a person. I am a sophomore  at West Torrance High school and play for the West High Varsity team as well as the Beach Futbol Club’s 04/05 ECNL team. 

My goal in my soccer career has always been to play college soccer and ultimately Pro soccer. I realize how much it takes to play at that level, and I am very determined to do so. I have always been a very competitive player who gives my all and works very hard to succeed.

On the field, I love to create chances for not only myself but for my teammates. I have excellent passing skills and like to dribble whenever I get the opportunity. I love combining with others to create many chances and possibilities. I always make sure to encourage my teammates to keep a positive attitude and mindset. I am very coach-able, and I take in every critique to do better the next opportunity I get. I put in every ounce of effort I have into soccer and school.

My mindset is to attend a college to challenge myself in both my athletic and academic skills. I want to attend a college that is the best fitting for me as a player and as a student.
