Personal Statement

My name is Kaila Riney, and I am part of the graduating class of 2026 and plays for G2006 Legends FC San Diego’s Elite 64 team. I have been playing soccer since I was 5 years old. I have great passion for soccer and am extremely excited and hopeful to play college soccer one day. My plans are to apply to a four-year college and major in Sports medicine/Kinesiology.

My favorite part of playing soccer is being part of a team, knowing that if we win or lose, we are doing it together. In addition to playing soccer, I intern at my school's athletic training department, referee soccer, and loves watching the San Diego Wave NWSL team play!
