Crystal Sioxson '24 Recruiting Profile

In December of 2023 I tore my ACL playing in a high school league game and I will not be able to play in the 2024 season.  Playing soccer is an important part of who I am. I enjoy playing and being part of a team.  On the field, I am focused and can anticipate the ball movement. My work ethic enables me to get forward and support attacks, as well as to recover and defend  with patience and control in the fullback position. I find opportunities to assist my fellow team mates and I'm always learning to improve myself and my game in order to contribute to my team's success.

I play for Bay Area Surf’s ECNL U19 team in San Jose, California. I started my club experience with the San Jose Earthquakes Pre-Academy team in 2014 and my coaches have made great impacts on my soccer career by providing me with a strong foundation for playing the game. I have attended the YNT ID Centers (Regional, November 2019 and Regional Fall 2021), played with the NorCal Premier PDP team and have also been a member of my highschool varsity soccer team since I was a freshman. I co-captained the team since Sophmore year and in 2023 we led our team to earn the CCS Championship.

While researching the various college majors and programs; communications, photography and (sports) journalism have piqued my interest beyond the soccer field. I hope to find the best college to pursue both my academic and athletic passions.
