My name is Isla Hawkins, graduation year 2022. I just started my senior year at Santa Cruz High School where I carry a 4.31 GPA. The club teams I play for are the Santa Cruz Breakers Academy FC U19 (GA) team primarily in addition to the Santa Cruz Breakers 04G (U19 NPL), jersey #14. I am a passionate, feisty, and skillful player on the pitch with extreme tactical awareness both on and off the ball. Although I traditionally play as an attacking center mid (#10), I am versatile and also play right and left wings, outside defense and striker as needed to help my team succeed. I always work my hardest on and off the field, no matter the circumstances and am constantly working to inspire my team towards success in my leadership role as team captain of my U19 club team.
Some of my accomplishments include making the regional/state Nor Cal PDP as well as ODP teams in previous years, assisting my club team in a top finish at multiple showcase and tournament events including the Player's Showcase in Las Vegas, and finishing off my third year of High School with a solid 4.31 grade average while making both the Varsity Soccer and Track & Field teams as a Freshman. In addition, I was selected for First team All Conference for my league (SCCAL) last season and was planning to play in the Gothia Cup with FC New England in July 2021 prior to the tournament being cancelled because of the pandemic but I intend to play in 2022.
Outside of school and soccer, I like to volunteer my own time to training my younger sister's in soccer as well as being an assistant coach in the Breakers Recreation Soccer program, volunteering at the SPCA, and helping with the can food drive.
My goal for college is to find a school that has my field of study and has a strong Women's Soccer Program. I am a well rounded person who comes with endurance, speed, tenacity, leadership, friendship, and a fun, supportive personality.
