Hi, my name is Sydney Irwin and I am a 5'9" varsity forward and attacking midfielder at South Tahoe High School in California. Last year we took 1st place in Northern Nevada Regionals and 2nd in the Nevada State Cup. This year we placed 3rd in regional play after entering with a first-round 1st place bye. I finished this season with NV first-team honors in conference and regional play and 2nd team honors in state play. I have also made the NV state all-academic team for two years in a row. I have played a total of 8 years of club soccer currently for MVLA 04/05 Girls Premier team in Reno, NV, and previously on the South Tahoe Futbol Club in South Lake Tahoe, CA. I have a 4.4 weighted GPA.
Since playing recreational soccer when I was 3 years old and then switching to club in 2014 as an 8-year-old, it has been my goal to play soccer at a high-level competitive athletic and prestigious academic university while pursuing a degree in Health Sciences. I can play any position on the field, but my leading posts are forward and attacking midfield. As an offensive player, my strengths are speed, maintaining possession, controlling the ball, spatial awareness, and accurate passing. My previous coaches have always commented on my coachability on the pitch. No matter if I am on or off the field, I never give up. I am constantly working hard and motivating my teammates to pursue excellence.

Coach's Comments Sydney has a great attitude and was a pleasure to have at camp. Sydney brings energy and intensity to every game. Her knowledge of where to be on the field really helped he create chances for her team. She created a lot of opportunities and scored a lot of goals during the camp.
