I first fell in love with wrestling in the 7th grade. My coach saw my potential and kept pushing me when I was at my lowest points. Wrestling is my passion. Whether it be competing and growing on the mat during my season, or coaching off season with the middle school team. Wrestling taught me I should keep pushing forward regardless of what tries to stand in my way. COVID is an obstacle, but is a motivation. I do whatever is in my power to keep moving forward and I don’t stay on my couch doing nothing. Everyone that said “girls can’t wrestle“ is my motivation to keep proving to them otherwise. I have always been an advocate for girls wrestling and I love watching my team grow as I currently am. School has always been my main priority which is why I always maintain a GPA at or above 3.0. The medical field has always been an the work field for me, so school is important. Being in my sophomore year of high school leaves many opportunities and much more growing to do in my sport. Regardless of what others say, I’ll keep pushing my way and fight around obstacle.
