My goal is to graduate college with a degree in forensic science. I find the criminal sciences interesting. Its like a puzzle that you are piecing together to find the end result or truth. I find my life to be the same way. I have tried many things in my life and high school career that have led to open doors that turned into many great opportunities. I started playing soccer at the age of 5, which was about the time my parents found out that I was considered legally blind and was given glasses. The Dr.'s told my parents not to worry that they felt my vision would get better over time. It did! I now am able to wear contact lenses. It is with great determination, wonderful doctors and great coaches and a supportive family that have made me who I am today as a person, a daughter and soccer player.
I may not be the smartest person in the world, but I am a very hard worker, I put 110% into everything I do and I expect great results from everything I do. I have found that I have to listen harder, work harder, practice harder and play harder which makes me a pretty good and well rounded player. I work hard for my coaches and am very coachable. They tell me what they want I go out to make them and myself proud with the end result. I have really enjoyed the soccer ID camps I have attended because the variety of coaches that are out there and have offered great advice. I hope someday when they see me again they say, " I've seen her before, she is using a technique I taught her." That to me is the best validation as a player.
I believe I show good character on and off the field. I work hard and play hard, but when you can give back to a younger player or have a coach that enjoyed you so much as a player that they want to continue to work with you speaks volumes to me as a person. I know college isn't going to be easy and will take a lot of hard work. I am no stranger to hard work, long practices and tutoring, I know I can bring a lot to any soccer program on any campus who wants a dedicated and dependable soccer player, a loyal goal keeper and team mate, and a student that will bring pride to that department and its professors, please look no farther. That person is ME!
