I was about seven when I realized I loved soccer. I'm always at practice preparing for the next game, and I'm always treating practice as a game giving my all on and off the field. Soccer became my everything by being my stress reliever and a place to escape reality, it is my absolute happiness. Soccer has taught me to be open-minded, push expectations, and give it your all. Not only on the field but in the classroom as well. In high school I strive for all A's. My goal through every semester is to never end with anything less than a B. As a soon to be college student I would continue to strive for excellence just as much as I do in high school. Not only does soccer keep me busy, but I play basketball, and I am involved in my schools band. My first year of competing in state marching band we took fourth place, and taking second place my second year. We also took first place at regionals. Being a student athlete and band kid, I've learned how to balance my studies and athletics. I've learned to live by the School comes first motto due to the fact that you'll never know when your last game or practice will be. When I was a freshman I tore my ACL. I was devastated, and it was very hard to watch the other girls play from the sideline. That's when I couldn’t take it anymore and I looked at physical therapy as practice so I could get back to do what I love most. Having to deal with my injury showed me how much sports mean to me.
While in the process of finding a school, the fit I'm looking for is everything to me. Not only academically and athletically, but as a team. When I think of the perfect match I think good work ethic, heart for the sport, effort, and dedication from both coach and athlete. As a two sport athlete I have the heart and dedication to make your team push the limits. I’m coachable and will always listen to any advice or criticism. Another decision I have to make though is academically. In that route I’m looking to study to become an exotic veterinarian. As I follow my dream with this career, I’m willing to do whatever it takes to get me to that milestone. Especially with mentors that will push me to do the best and be the best I can be.
