My name is Katy Clapp and I am a midfielder for Colorado Rush DPL. I am a varsity player for Summit High School and was voted captain by my teammates this year as a sophomore. I also participate in the Colorado Select/ODP 2005 girls program. I have great endurance as I was born and currently live in Breckenridge, Colorado at an elevation of 10,000 feet. I'm comfortable with the ball at my feet and create options and opportunities while maintaining possession. I am inspired by the culture that surrounds the game of soccer, from the people I meet to the beauty of the game. In 2019 I traveled with the Rush Select National Team to Costa Rica and competed against some of their best clubs and won Most Valuable Player. Unfortunately plans to travel to Europe to compete were canceled due to COVID. My passion and commitment to soccer make the 90-minute drive to and from practices and games in Denver worth it. Fortunately, my club offers many training opportunities with different teams so many days I can double train. My goal is to play college soccer at the highest level possible. I work hard to maintain a 4.0 GPA and want to attend an academically challenging university so I am prepared for the future.
