I believe life is about more than your career and what kind of house you live in. I want to make lasting memories and I want to enrich my mind and soul. I don’t want to simply survive, I want to flourish and live my life with purpose because I know I have one.
In college, I want to work hard and enjoy my time around people who will help develop me into my best self and who will walk with me in my faith. It is very important to me that the community is strong, friendly, supportive, and feels safe.
I am a hard worker. I wouldn’t say that anything has ever come exceedingly naturally to me. I have had to work very hard for all of my rewards. I have grown immensely in both athletics and academics thanks to good coaches, great teammates, and supportive parents, but also thanks to years and years of determination, a good attitude, and hard work.
I do not easily give up, I recently lost a championship soccer game with a few minutes left, 2-1. It would have been easy to say there are only 2 minutes left we can’t score, but I ran and played as hard as I could for those two minutes and we came close to making the comeback. Unfortunately we did not, and it was crushing, but I picked my head up and started working hard again at practice the following week.
I am extremely passionate about soccer because I have played it as long as I can remember. I have grown up with the sport and it is difficult to imagine my life without it.
I have been rewarded with high honor role since 3rd grade, and with each coming year this has proven to be more and more difficult. But, I have simply kept working hard and have been able to always maintain this honor.
