My name is Kaitlyn and I play the mid field positions, most often the 6 or 10. I have been playing soccer since I was 7 and I have a passion for the game. What I enjoy most is setting up my teammates and making amazing through balls.
One of my most recent accomplishments is that my club won Colorado’s President’s Cup and we went on to play in the President’s Cup Far West Regional. Playing high levels teams was such a great experience.
My goal is to increase my in-game knowledge and my vision of the field by developing strengths such as tactical awareness, passing, and on-field decision-making. I plan on accomplishing this by playing college soccer at an elite level. I want to contribute and positively impact the team's success. I have the skill set and desire to learn how to adapt my style of play with any coach's philosophy to help us reach our goals of winning both on and off the field.
Throughout high school, I have taken many honors and AP classes and have earned National Honors Society. Additionally, I plan to complete the AP capstone project. Time management and being well rounded is something that I work on constantly.
I earned Most Improved Player of the Year as well as Coach's Player of the Year awards with Colorado Rush. I firmly believe students need to be well-rounded in academia, sports and volunteerism and I plan to continue this throughout my high school and college career. Off the field I am an outgoing fun teammate who constantly tries to make people laugh and enjoys life. On the filed however I am a driven, focused, leader who leads vocally and by example for others. My love for the game is shown on the pitch during games, during practice and in my extracurricular activities. I am constantly watching games whether it's a youth team, my own game film, college games, or the USWNT to increase my soccer IQ.
Finally, I have a brother with significant special needs. He has a very rare neuro-genetic disability, (he is 1 of 21 worldwide). I have developed a deep passion for individuals with disabilities and have volunteered at Night Lights for 10 years. I have also been part of the mentoring program at my elementary, middle, and high school. All these volunteer positions provided me the opportunity to serve children with special needs both academically and recreationally. I am also a Christian and I am involved in my church.
