My name is Caitlin Collins and I am currently a sophomore at Joel Barlow High School located in Redding, CT. I have been on varsity for two years now and a starter for one. I started playing soccer when I was four and living in Libertyville, IL. I knew right then and there that I would continue with soccer until something physically stopped me. While I was living in Illinois, I played for my local soccer club, FC 1974. However, I moved to New Jersey when I was 13 and joined the club team, Matchfit Academy. Throughout the time I lived there, I grew not only as a person but also a soccer player. Shortly after my move to New Jersey, my family moved to Connecticut. In Connecticut, I joined Connecticut Rush where I have been playing outside midfield. On my arrival in Connecticut, I was one of the two sophomores who made varsity and started. It was an exciting season, and I look forward to the next two years!
I primarily play outside mid on either side of the field. One of my biggest strengths is being able to cross the ball in front of the net for someone to come and hit it in. However, I am also capable of being the one on the end of the crosses and finishing them.
I am a good student and I take my education very seriously. I am very strong in English and history. So, I would like to major in law, specifically
I am looking for a medium size college with good academics and a rigorous soccer program. Although I currently live on the east coast, I am looking to go to college somewhere in the south or on the west coast.
