Over the course of my 10 year long soccer career, I have played for seven different teams due to favorable opportunities or the discontinuance of a team. Each switch from one team to another brought about a variety of challenges such as growing accustomed to a new coaching style or connecting with strangers who were now my teammates. I believe that these obstacles developed my ability to adapt to new environments and pushed me to rethink the extent of my leadership skills. Although I recognize my tendency to lead by example rather than vocalization, I believe that my passionate approach to achieving my soccer and academic goals serves as a nonverbal form of positive influence. I believe that playing college soccer will provide me with an opportunity to not only further my soccer and academic interests, but also advance my growth as a person by forming new relationships and facing more struggles.
