Making the Varsity Soccer team as a sophomore and going on to win the District title that same year has been the highlight of my high school career, as well as, winning a multitude of tournaments with my club team since freshman year. To begin with, my club team won the Labor Day Shootout Tournament and we won the Battle at the Beach Tournament my freshman year while I was the Team Captain. Then, during my sophomore year my club team won the Battle at the Beach Tournament for the second year in a row, while I was team captain again. Now, while I have had many things to reminisce on, my junior season has really taught me a lot about what it means to be a student athlete and this year it has really motivated me to work even harder, since we did not win any titles. It has allowed me to grow even more as a player and focus on my senior season this upcoming year.
These last couple of years haven’t always been easy, but it has taught me team work, sacrifice, commitment, leadership and no matter how hard it gets to never give up. I am looking for a school that is a good fit for me athletically and academically. While I may be an athlete, being a student has always been my first priority. I have always dreamed of playing soccer while I pursue my college education of Sports Management or being an Athletic Trainer.
