Hi, my name is Zana Anderson I starting playing soccer at the age of 9 and completely fell in love with it, I went to club soccer at the age of 10 after doing competitive cheerleading for 6 year. Cheerleading made me into the hardworking, motivated, committed, and competitive player I am today. In 2016 I went from the new girl on the team to 2 years later becoming the captain of the team and worked really hard to become a starter then playing full games as the striker. I've always had an interest with nutrition and diet but recently I tore my ACL and found interest in sports medicine and physical therapy. This injury has been the biggest obstacle in my soccer journey so far but with it, it has taught me to be patient and to not stop when something gets hard. And in some way this injury has shown me how much more I want to play soccer in college and hopefully one day professionally.
Coach Jeff Lowdermilk "You won't find a player with a better motor. Her "all in" determination comes through "loud and clear" in her game. She's also worked extremely hard on her technical game. If you need a kid with "over the top" work ethic and the ability to provide impact against tough opponents, you want Zana."
Coach Peter Gutsche “Zana is a very determined player- as can be witnessed by your coming back from injury so strongly.” “Zana, you have some excellent qualities in the physical component of your game. It is quite remarkable, especially because of the injury you returned from.”
