Playing soccer since the age of 3, and at the select level since 1st grade soccer has taught me so many things other than just being a good player. I have learned more about working together, commitment, and dealing with disappointment than anything else could have taught me. Being part of a team is both a humbling and amazing experience.
I have played for Tophat Soccer Club from the beginning with the exception of 2018. I made the decision to play for Concorde Fire ECNL and this was a great experience. However, I made the decision to return to Tophat this year and play in their DPL league. Tophat is a DA club and has replaced ECNL with DPL. The quality of my team is exceptional and I know that this team will continue to improve my quality of play. I am constantly looking to improve my speed, strength and skills.
My high school Varsity team has made it to the State finals in both my freshman and sophomore year and played our biggest rival. We unfortunately lost both, with the first in PK's and the second in overtime. I learned a lot from both of these games, but my goal this year is to win! I was awarded the honor of Most Valuable Defensive Player my sophomore year. This makes me want to work even harder for our team.
I work very hard academically, just as I do athletically. Lovett is a very academic school with high standards. It is difficult, but I know that I am getting a great education and it will pay off in college. I want to play soccer in a school that is a great fit for me both academically and athletically. I want to continue to play the sport I love while working hard for my future. I feel certain that I can find that right fit!
Furthermore, I love the other extracurricular things I do at Lovett. I am continuing my second year being apart of the Africa Interactive Club. This club consists of raising money to build wells and writing letters to children in Africa. I am also apart of the Harry Potter Club, which is just a fun stress reliever. I am also a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Lovett has great inspirational speakers come in weekly to meet with our group.
