Update 10/24: Due to lack of interest from schools in my top preferences (based on distance, climate, size, and especially cost); I am planning to forgo playing college soccer and opt for the college club soccer experience and HOPE scholarship, most likely at Georgia Southern University.
My name is Avery Snodgrass and I am a rising Senior (class of 2025) at North Oconee High School in Bogart, Georgia where I play varsity soccer. My goal is to play soccer for a college that values me as an individual and will help me to succeed not only in college, but also in life. I am a very coachable player, a quick study and love playing the game. I believe that my best soccer attributes are my quick feet, field vision, quick decision making, body control, passing accuracy, speed, ability to use both feet and versatility; I've played every position but my home is on the wings. Despite having a small stature I am a fierce competitor and lead by example, I was a captain for my U17 ECNL-Regional League team at Atlanta Fire. I played U19 ECNL-Regional League club at Concorde Fire in 2023 before being injured (ACL contact injury) in August 2023.
10 months post ACL reconstruction surgery I am cleared for return to sport and expect to return to full contact in May/June 2024. I played with Oconee Futbol Club U19's this summer at USYS Southern Regionals in Tampa. I was able to play for about 10 minutes with my high school team in the AAAA state final game back in May.
I am getting (another) late start on the recruiting process but will be hitting the recruiting ground hard this year, participating in as many camps, combines and showcases as possible. Please see my events for my upcoming schedule.
In addition to school, school soccer and club soccer I am a member of the NOHS Miracle Club and train a 7th grader in soccer once a week. Some of my hobbies are drawing, painting and listening to music.
