Megan Selvig '12 Recruiting Profile

Being on the soccer field is the best feeling of my life. I wold love the opportunity to play in college. I am one of the fastest players on my team. I received the Spirit Award for two years; this award is given to the player whom the team and coach believe has the best positive attitude both on and off the field. I strive to encourage my teammates in every way possible, whether it be with their soccer skills or in life. I am my team’s number one cheerleader; if someone on my team makes a mistake, I am the first one to remind them that everyone makes mistakes. Even if we lose a game, I have confidence in my team. I also received the Team Player Award, which is given to the person who shares the ball as well as the glory. If I ever made a goal, I would thank the person who assisted me. If I saw that someone was open, I gladly passed the ball to them instead of keeping it. I trusted my team and truly believed that we could become the best. I became more excited when other people succeeded than when I succeeded. I did my best to focus on others instead of myself.
