I want to play soccer at the collegiate level because it’s always been a dream of mine. I have worked extremely hard and continue to everyday. I’ve spent almost half my life training and competing in order to achieve this goal. I started competing at 7 years old on a club team and automatically fell in love with the game. I also want to play at such a high level because I know it would make my parents proud and show them that if you work hard for something you want, anything is achievable. The final reason that pushes me to go farther as an athlete is to show my mom, who passed away when I was 12, that hard work and dedication can get me to where her and I both know I could be.
I would describe myself as an impact player because I’m a natural leader, I always push people to be the best version of themselves and the best athlete they can become. I’m a positive influence on others, which is consistent win or lose, and I’m able to build strong relationships with coaches and other members of the team. Others may describe me as outgoing, hardworking, diligent, encouraging, and dedicated. This goes for on and off the field.
