I have started playing soccer since I was about 3 years old and immediately fell in love with the sport. I constantly strive to better my skills and work well with those around me. There were many times when life threw me curveballs, however, they only taught me the importance of working hard in order to get where you want to be. Thus, in order to expand my knowledge of the game, I watch professional men's soccer leagues, such as La Liga, Premier League, and Champions League, to further my enjoyment in both playing and watching the sport. While watching these matches I watch the forwards positioning during multiple situations and try to replicate this in a game or even some of the skills they use. I would love to achieve my dream of playing at the college level and increasing my knowledge of the game while competing at a level with others who have the same mindset and ambitions. I have been told by many coaches that my high level IQ of the game is one of my biggest strengths, not just the forward position but all positions as to where they should be in a certain scenario or where they should be positioned on the field to create impact plays. Along with the thought process of the game, the skills and awareness of how to effectively move to create space (stretching the defense, etc.), which are needed as a forward, are another one of my strengths. One goal that I would like to achieve is to continue to further my understanding of the game and increase my IQ of not just my position, but all positions, in order to really compete at the college level and help those around me the best I can to my knowledge.
Academic wise, my grades are always consist in regards to high GPAs and the grades of individual classes. In college I would like to pursue a major in business because of my part-time job of working in retail. As I have been working in retail for over a year now, I have come to realize that a career in business would play more to my interests as I would like to learn more about the administration or marketing side of businesses and being able to apply that to my future, and current, career.
