Jaymi Lynn Gurr '21 Recruiting Profile

Having the opportunity to be a freshman on the Henry J. Kaiser High School varsity softball team was my absolute top priority after my JV season had come to an end. However, not being a starter and being held back on JV for one more year made me the player that I am today. The experience of embarrassment and thoughts of not being good enough only pushed me to become a strong individual player and an even stronger team player. 

I had been blessed to have been surrounded by softball my whole life because all of my coaches and teammates had taught me so much more than just the game that I love.   Looking towards the future I know that I’ll walk away with  communication, social, and leadership skills. I’m not only looking for a program that helps me shine athletically but academically as well. With these skills and perspectives I know that I’ll make a great addition to your program.
