My name is Sosi Dadekian and I graduate in 2025 from Bloomington High School in Illinois. In college I am looking at majoring in either Sports Entertainment & Marketing Management, Exercise Science, Nutrition/Food Science or Athletic Training. I am highly interested in playing soccer at the collegiate level.
I have played soccer since 2015 with 2 years of PCSL recreational and travel with the Illinois Fire Juniors from Fall 2017-Spring 2021. During that time, many opportunities were available such as summer Super Y league with Central Illinois Elite, invited to the Fire Juniors Emerging Talent Program (ETP) summer camp, selected through ETP to play with Fire Juniors Elite 2007 girls team in the Vegas Cup winning the championship and the Illinois Olympic Development Program (ODP) making the State team both years. Midfield is where I started, but through the other opportunities I learned to play center back and forward which has helped me better understand the game.
In June 2021, I was invited to guest play as a center back with SASA Spirits 2007 girls for the Presidents Cup Regionals in Cincinnati, Ohio winning the championship and moving on to take the championship in the Nationals Presidents Cup in Des Moines, Iowa.
In the summer of 2021, a newly formed ECNL Regional League team was announced. I tried out and made the Eclipse Select Central Illinois 2007 girls team starting as their center back and captain. During our first Fall season we went 26-0 taking championships for Illinois State Cup, Midwest Conference Premier II Blue and ECNL League. The team advanced to both the 2022 USYS Midwest Regional Championships in Westfield, IN and 2022 ECNL Regional League Finals in Redmond, WA the summer of 2022. As a center back, I’m very proud that we only had 9 goals against us the entire season. I use quick decision making, strength and speed to deny the opponent from scoring and regain possession of the ball to build out of the back.
In Fall 2021, I was a starter on the Bloomington High School (BHS) Varsity Basketball team. In Spring 2022, I was a starter on the BHS Varsity Soccer team as a center back and later moved to the midfield providing opportunity to score 8 goals with 12 assists. I earned unanimous All Big 12 Conference and All Sectional 8 Team. Academically, my GPA is 4.939 out of 5.0 with math being my favorite class.
In Summer 2022, Eclipse Select Central Illinois prepared for the 2022 Midwest Regionals and won the championship advancing to Nationals in Orlando, FL placing as Finalist.
During the Fall 2022 season, the team changed its name to Central Illinois United and joined the Girls Academy. We had a great year with a record of 13W-2L-2T. Then in Spring of 2023 I continued on the Central Illinois United High School team until the 2007G team came back together to compete in the 2023 Girls Academy Summer Playoffs in Hammonton, NJ and in the GA Finals in St. Louis, MO. We ended #2 in the GA Mid-America Conference and #7 in the GA Nationally.
In February 2023, I had an awesome opportunity to attend the US Soccer Talent ID Center in Rockford, IL!
My team is now in the Fall 2023 season where Central Illinois United team moved to the Midwest Conference of Girls Academy.
