My name is Rylee Liebing and I am from Lemont,Illinois. I am a 2021 graduate. I play Holding Mid, but I also play in the back line occasionally. I currently play for Sockers FC Chicago. I have always loved soccer, soccer has always been the sport that has stuck out for me. Soccer has molded me into the person i am today. It has taught me what it is to be a good teammate and that you have to earn things by working for them that they are not going be handed to you. Ever since I was little I always gravitated to the soccer ball, then once I started club soccer I never wanted to not have a ball at my foot. Soccer is the main thing in my life other than my family and getting good grades in school. Throughout my soccer life I have learned what it feels like to have such a passion and drive for something. As for my personality I am very upbeat and happy, and I love to be active and to smile. I feel that the more times you laugh and smile the more memories you make in life. In soccer I like to control the middle of the field by making the right passes, winning balls in the air, and communicating with my teammates. Through soccer I have also learned that mistakes and going through defeat are what make you better as a player.
Last year in the regionals when we lost in our third game and were no longer going to advance in the tournament it was very upsetting, but I grew as a player through that experience. It showed me how to deal with defeat and use it as a positive thing to work harder. Being on the field is a place for me where I can have fun and just be competitive. I love winning balls in the air and chasing people down. Also being with my teammates and having fun playing beside my teammates. My ultimate dream is to have a college soccer career, and get a good education.
