I am the youngest of 3 in my family and if you ask my parents, I have always been driven to not just keep up but to stand out. Throughout my life, sports have played a big role. I have tried many different sports but I started playing soccer when I was 5 and never looked back. Within a year or two, I began to realize not only was I having a lot of fun, I loved the sport and looked forward to how far I could grow with it. It has not always been easy. I have struggled through injury and moments when I questioned my abilities. I pushed through, got stronger physically and emotionally and am driven to do my personal best. I have had many influences and supports since then but some of the most important have been my parents (my dad was my first coach), my best friend and team mate, and professional soccer players Didier Drogba and David Luiz.
In High School, I am a 3 season athlete and was fortunate enough to be a Varsity starter for both our Dance Team and Girls’ Soccer team which both qualified for State my Freshman year. I play club soccer in the fall and winter to keep up my skills and conditioning. I believe having a balanced life with academics, school sports and club has made me a well-rounded individual and taught me to work hard. Academically, my goals are to keep my GPA above a 3.0, and continue to build good study and time management skills that will help me when I get to college. Once in college, I hope to complete a degree in Criminology with a minor in criminal justice or psychology with a long-term goal of working for the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
