Personal Statement

While in college, I am determined to continue my playing career, with the goal of being able to make an immediate impact to the team.  I am committed to developing my game for the betterment of the team and look forward to the opportunity to do so.  I am a very technical player with great field vision.  I may not be the tallest person out there, but what I lack in size I make up for in skill and determination.  What I have learned about myself through playing a team sport has defined me as the person I am today.  By learning the value of teamwork and leadership and choosing to lead by example, I have been able to excel on and off the field, impacting those along side me in a positive manner.  I have a great work ethic, whether it is at school or soccer, I am always giving my all to become the best version of myself that I can be.  Academics come first and foremost, a strong academic school that offers the majors that I am interested in is very important to me.  I have been told many times that I am a very coachable player, one who is flexible and innovative.  When presented a challenge, regardless of the position I am playing or task my Coach is asking of me, I'm always eager and willing to execute.

  • AwardsAcademic All-Conference DuPage Valley - 2017, 2018 Neuqua Valley Honor Roll - Every Semester, Neuqua Honor: Student Growth Award - April 2018 (only 5% of the students received a Neuqua Honor Award out of a student body of 3584)
  • ActivitiesI have been active in Star Raiders at school. Star Raiders is a group that pledges to be drug and alcohol-free. We go into district Elementary schools and talk to kids about making positive life choices. I also participate in Ski Club. During my club season this Fall, I drove for a Family with four children, picking the kids up from their respective private school and taking them to enrichment activities. I also assisted their youngest, who is 6 years old, with homework. I will continue working for the Family after my High School season. In the Fall, I referee club games, as my game schedule allows. During the Summer, I help out as a teen volunteer at a vacation bible school and at Safety Town. I was selected to join a small group of students from Neuqua Valley to travel to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands on a 9-day trip in July 2018.
