At a young age, I learned to play a number of different positions within the field, whether it was in the infield or outfield. I became a starter second baseman for my travel team, however began to move around more as I grew up, learning to adapt to new positions and improve my technique to become an effective utility player for both travel and high school. Being provided the opportunity to play other positions allowed me to develop a hard-working and dedicated mentality, to ensure that I could excel wherever a coach put me. Playing with a number of different girls in both school and travel ball showed me how to take on the role of an effective leader, and develop strong skills that would be essential to use going into college.
College is a place where I hope to expand upon both my softball and academic ambitions. Playing softball in college is something that I have dreamed of at a young age, and is an ongoing goal that I have continued to hold onto as I have aged and learned more about the game. I aspire to find a school that will provide a strong education program, to help obtain my goal of becoming a teacher in my future. Along with the educational aspect of college, I am looking for a school with a beneficial softball program so I can continue to play the sport I have grown up to since I was six years old. Both education and softball are important to me, and I continue to put my best effort towards my academics and athletics. As a straight A student, I am persistently determined to succeed as a student and an athlete, and will continue to devote time and energy into both, to become the player I aspire to be.
