My dream is to play college soccer in a competitive, but supportive, environment where I can work everyday to become the best player I am possibly capable of. I do not overlook my mistakes and will work day and night to perfect somewhere that I am lacking. The weaknesses I had serval years ago are now some of my greatest strengths because I work, and study techniques, until I can get them down. I am a player who cares about the team winning together, rather than just in the game to score goals for myself. I am also a coachable athlete because I listen very closely to advice and will ask questions if I am struggling. I enjoy getting feedback because that is the way to acknowledge the mistake and improve from it. During game play, I am especially strong in seeing the field, crossing, and off ball movement. I have stuck with soccer for all my life because of my genuine love for the sport. I have pushed through tough seasons by focusing on improving my skills rather than complaining, as well as appreciated seasons that have built my confidence and shown me the rewarding side to years of hard work.
Similarly to my morals athletically, I work hard to be successful with my academics. I find interest in learning new things and participating in class. I love to write, and am very good at memorizing and presenting in front of an audience. I was selected to be part of the National Honors Society at my high school and am planning on retaking my SAT to get a more accurate score.
Finally, Jesus Christ is truly who I am at the core. I strive to be more like Jesus everyday, growing my relationship with Him and projecting His love out onto others. I have been a very involved member in the church for my whole life. I volunteer in the kids program, welcome team, production, student leadership team, social media, and preaching team at Crossbridge Community Church of the Nazarene located in Ottawa, IL.
I am a very determined person, and tries my hardest in everything that I do. I believe everyone has their strengths and weaknesses, as well as a purpose for great things. I don’t only want to achieve great things myself, but also build others up so they can be encouraged to achieve great things too.
