My name is Cana Duckworth, I am a 2024 attacking midfielder, and have goals to play soccer at the collegiate level. I am open to any level of play, and I want a school that will challenge me academically and athletically. I am looking into sports or business management as possible majors for my future.
I have been playing soccer for most of my life, and playing competitively since middle school. I play for Indiana Fire Academy in Westfield, IN on the 2006 ECNL RL team. I play attacking center mid but I have proven to be a versatile player playing all offensive positions this year and capitalizing in each one of them. I've played my past three years of high school soccer on JV in a school of 5,500 kids, but with consistent training I'm aiming for a varsity spot my senior year.
I prioritize my academics as a student athlete therefore challenging myself in the classroom. I have taken two APs and multiple honors classes. I am an IB diploma candidate this year and looking forward to the challenging year ahead of me. Academics are extremely important to me which is why I am looking for an academically competitive school.
One of my strengths on and off the field is my leadership. I am a vocal leader who can hold people accountable while bringing positivity and optimism to the playing field. Additionally I am a hard worker who will always go all out in practice, in the weight room, and in games. I hope to attend a college that will support these characteristics and continue to grow them.
