Dear Coaches:
My immediate goal is to get into a great college where I can play soccer while studying animal sciences or biology.
In soccer, I started every match for our varsity high school team the last two seasons, which included a state championship in 2018. This year I scored 3 goals and had 11 assists while playing the holding midfield position. For my club, I have been moved from MRL Premier 2 to MRL Premier 1, and I have been asked to guest play for the ECNL Composite 18/19 whenever I can.
Academically, I have a 4.08 and I have made high honors every semester of high school. This month I was inducted into the National Honor Society. I love sciences and my future college needs to have a strong science department so I can prepare for either graduate school or medical school. My current SAT score is 1210. I will take the SAT again on June 1st, and then take the ACT in mid-July.
At the beginning of this year I was voted Class President of my junior class. Last week, I was voted Class President again, representing our senior class.
I spend my free time at school helping the administration plan school wide events. Outside of school I love working out - Orange Theory, running, cross-training, and once a week I do a horse riding lesson. This June I will be on a two-week mission trip in Tanzania.
I am willing to work hard to earn my playing time on the soccer field and my grades in the classroom, and I pride myself on being a great teammate and classmate.
Thank you for considering me.
- Marcelle Blanchet (Class of 2020)
