I started soccer when I was very young. I played wreck until I was eligible to compete with a travel team. I love the game because I love the way the ball is played through each member of the team. Everyone on the pitch has an important role in the success of the overall team, whether you are the goalie or a holding mid, your position and abilities are vital.
I currently play travel, so there is not much off season time to prepare individually, however, when I do have the opportunity, I work on endurance and strength training as well as technical skills. I also play basketball and lacrosse, so I tend to stay in good shape throughout the year. I have varsity lettered in all three sports my entire high school career, so i am fully aware of the necessities that come with the position.
I attend a more rigid school than most, so achieving good academics comes with a lot of hard work. I am willing and expect to work hard not only in the classroom but also on the field. I can promise you, I will be your most passionate recruit.
I don't have a lot of free time during the school year, but when I get a chance to do service work, I thoroughly enjoy Habitat for Humanity. We have a club and opportunity to work through our school, which is how I was exposed to the idea. I love being able to help families and people who are struggling or have been through tragedy and just need some help getting back on their feet. I think it's very important that people who have had greater options and opportunities are able to spread the things they've learned through those experiences to better lives.
