My position on the field is midfield, but I am an all-around player that can adapt to the other positions quickly and effectively. I never quit on my team even if we are losing by a large amount and I always encourage my teammates to do their best and help them improve when they are struggling. Even though I do not play on a club league, I am a three sport student athlete that maintains my grades to the highest level I can achieve. My skills on the soccer field include having a big kick for defense, having an accurate corner kick, speed, and I am everywhere on the field. I always give 100% in everything I do and I have a great work ethic.
My goal is to play soccer at the collegiate level for the college that best suites my academic needs. I would love to play the position that I have played since I was younger, but I am open to trying and learning about new positions. I realize that in order to achieve my academic desires, I might have to give up soccer, but I hope that I am able to find the perfect school for me both academically and athletically.
The awards I have received for soccer are most improved player my freshman year and I received the sportsmanship award my sophomore year. My junior year I received the All-Conference and Indiana All-Academic awards. My other two sports along with soccer are basketball and track. In basketball, I am mostly a forward and in track I run the 100m dash, 4x100m relay, and I long jump.
My junior season of soccer was unfortunately cut short due to a concussion. Even though some might think my concussion set me back, it taught me the importance of taking care of my body and learning from it and how to teach others to do the same. I did fully recover from it and it was only a minor brain injury, but I am planning on wearing a concussion headband for my senior season to help prevent/lessen any further concussions.
