Growing up in Germany, I started playing soccer at a very young age due to the fact that it is our national sport. I played every chance I could get with my dad and then at practice with my team. When I was 13, I switched to an all girls team because the physical differences between me and the boys became noticeable. When I was 16 I decided to do an exchange year in the US, where I then played Varsity soccer in the fall and then travel soccer in the spring with the Batesville soccer club in Indiana. I loved playing in the US compared to playing in Germany because I was a big fan of the school spirit. Students, athletes specifically are really proud of their school or team. This affects the atmosphere at games and I really enjoyed playing in the US compared to playing in Germany, which is one of the main reasons, I would like to return to the US as a player in college.
As a student I have always been really good in subjects like math and physics. I am currently enrolled as a college student in Germany with a physics major in the first semester and now I would love to transfer to the US. I graduated High School in 2023 in the best 20% of my class.
I think the thing that changed me the most in my teenage years was my exchange year. Before I went to the US, I lost a lot of confidence because there were people on my team that weren't the nicest people. I lost the love for my sport for a while because I was afraid to go to games and practice. When I decided to go to the US that changed a lot. I was on a team with much better people and also people who had the same love for the sport as I did. I regained my confidence pretty quickly which led to me scoring eleven goals in ten games as a defensive midfielder. In the US I think I actually became more myself because I wasn't afraid to have a voice anymore like I was before. Therefore I would love to have the opportunity to play in the US again, now at a different level.
I would be really thankful if you could consider me for your team and I will promise to always do my best to help the team achieve the best possible result.
