Personal Statement
CURRENTLY WITH LARAMIE COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Member of Queen City United in the United Women's Soccer (UWS) Pro-Am League and Canada REX/National Pool of Players.
As I have had a later start to my NCAA college search, I have taken some gap time in order to ensure that I have an opportunity to find the right college fit.
I have been in love with the game of soccer for as long as I can remember. I have set high standards for myself and my family has always been extremely supportive of my goals.
I have been a multisport athlete, which I feel has been very beneficial to my growth and development as a soccer player. The skills and challenges of playing sports at a high level have shaped me into the player and person that I am. My communication, organization and leadership skills have evolved both on and off the pitch, along with my appreciation and dedication for the sport.
I would describe myself as team-minded, tenacious and gritty with a strong game sense. I am told by coaches that I read the field extremely well and really “make things happen.” I don’t shy away from high pressure situations – I thrive on the challenges that they bring.
I enjoy learning about how the human body and mind work and am ultimately leaning towards a career in the Chiropractic and/or Sports Psychology fields, beginning with an undergraduate degree in a Kinesiology/Sport Science program. I aspire to play at the highest level of competition while pursuing my academic goals.
Thank you for your consideration,
Jenaya Brown
