Hello, I am Nataly Bahns, and I am a senior at Assumption High School in Davenport, Iowa.
I have been playing soccer since I was four years old. I instantly fell in love with the sport. It has always been a dream of mine since I was little to play soccer as long as I can and at the highest level possible. As I have gone through the years, playing on both boys' and girls' teams, I have realized the amount of effort, strength, determination, and willpower that I need to be able to succeed. I will put in all the work I can to achieve this goal of mine.
On the pitch I have great passing skills and I also have quick feet. I am also very vocal to my teammates by letting them know what they cannot see. I am also a leader and try to set good examples for everyone on and off the field. I have become more of an extrovert over the years. I have a feeling that this is due to an injury that I sustained. I had dislocated my knee during a game, and I didn't know how soon I would be back. After not being able to play I have fallen more in love with the sport and have never taken a moment with my team, or on the pitch for granted. My personality is very coachable; I desire criticism and honesty. Receiving feedback makes me a stronger athlete. I have always been known for giving everything I have and a little more into anything I do. I believe in giving 150% everywhere, from on the pitch, to in the classroom, and in my everyday life.
When it comes to school, I put in all of my effort. I have always studied hard and asked for help when needed. Due to Covid-19 my GPA dropped. It was a struggle for me to learn online, due to not being in person and also my mental health had dropped at the time. Being a senior now and not having a single normal year of high school I have learned to overcome and adapt in ways I wouldn't have ever thought of before. I am now involved in my school and within my community. I am a member of S.A.D.D, Pep Club, and multiple other clubs. I want to be able to go to college and get a challenge academically and athletically. I am open to ALL options, and I want what is going to be best for me academically and athletically. I desire to play at the highest level possible at a college that will positively impact myself. In the end, I aspire to become a successful student, athlete, and role model to my peers, making my parents and my Savior proud of me.
