Personal Statement

Growing up I have tried many sports, but the only one I have stuck with is soccer. I've been playing soccer since I was four and have grown to love it more and more every second. I have put lots of effort into soccer and school and will continue to push myself to higher standards.

I have won three state cup championships and have attended the midwest regionals three times. Playing against the best in the state and region, I know that I have the ability to play with anyone, but it also showed me that there is a lot of competition and even more room for improvement. I am known to be a positive player who works hard and isn't afraid to speak up on the field.  As a center midfielder, my goal is to distribute the ball to open players, disrupt lines of defense, and to connect the dots between both sides of the field. I have the ability to move quickly and efficiently on the field, helping me to accomplish my goal every game.

As playing soccer at a collegiate level has been an aspiration of mine ever since I was a child, gaining a meaningful college degree is just as important so I may have a successful career after my soccer journey has ended. I am looking for a college that will both allow me to compete in soccer and reach my academic goals. As I enjoy competing against the best, it has pushed me to strive for perfection on the field and in school. Academically, I am very much above average and will continue to learn to a high standard. As a junior, I have taken many advanced classes and am taking three AP classes this year. Since I play soccer all year round, I am constantly working to become the best student-athlete I can. I have no doubt that my positivity and leadership would help to make your program even better.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
