I am currently a Senior at Gilbert High School in Gilbert, Iowa. I am interested in attending a college or university where I can study the human body, psychology, sociology, or social work. I would also like to minor in Art. I love painting, ceramics, and drawing. I find it relaxing but also educational. Art is also something that my grandfather, mom, dad, and brother all like to do in their spare time.
I am a good candidate for your soccer team because first and foremost I love the game and secondly, I take the games and practices seriously. I have plenty of experience in playing all positions on the field, which makes me a utility player, however, my favorite position is defensive center midfielder.
I started playing soccer when I was very young on recreational teams and then I played on premier league outdoor and indoor teams. In my freshman school year I was a started out playing Junior Varsity as a started and I worked hard enough to make the Varsity team as a starter. During my Freshman year, the team advanced all the way to the quarter finals of the Iowa State High School Tournament in Des Moines, Iowa. Starting my sophomore year, I have stepped up my training and skills by doing weight and speed classes, attending training sessions to improve my skills, and spending my downtime on watching professional games on how I can improve myself and ways to make a team improve. Once our high school season started my sophomore year I started as a outside fullback. This season was our best yet, we were undefeated and made it to state again and finally got past the first game. Unfortunately we lost the second game but as a team and family, we improved and were very proud of everyone.
Academically, I currently have a 3.7 G.P.A. and I always do my homework! I work hard to keep my grades up, to improve my GPA, and I have taken the PACT and PSAT tests to get experience with these tests so I know what I need to study for the real test in the future to get into the college. I recently have taken the ACT but I was not satisfied with my score so I plan on taking the ACT again in October.
