My name is Kyrah Sissel. I am a 5’3” utility player with a preference for the midfield. I began playing soccer at the age of 4 with the local AYSO. I transitioned to the Iowa Soccer Club and am in my 8th year as a club player. Though COVID-19 eliminated my freshman season, I look forward to playing for Coach Tim Jones and the Williamsburg High School Raiders the next 3 years through a sharing agreement with my current high school, HLV. I currently have a 4.0 GPA for my sophomore year and intend to pursue a career in physical therapy/athletic training in college. To challenge myself academically I have taken college classes at Kirkwood Community College since I was a freshman.
As a student athlete I am diligent and hardworking, and have learned to apply myself to the task at hand, both on and off the field. I possess the capacity to contribute positively while working as part of a team and am a tireless worker with a good sense of humor, an optimistic outlook on life, and a willingness to learn and grow. In addition to having the initiative to be successful in athletics and academics, I recognize that my talent, effort and ability is not enough. My willingness to be coached and to do what is best for the team is equally if not more important.
