As a child of a career military officer, I have had opportunities to play soccer all over the world. I've played soccer on teams in Hawaii, Florida, Germany, Pennsylvania, and now Kansas. The diverse experiences I've had have exposed me to a variety of coaching and playing styles. As a result I am a very adaptable player. Because I'm always the new girl, I have to work extra hard to prove myself in new situations to earn a spot on competitive club teams that have already been set, often only getting one chance to do so. I therefore understand what it feels like to perform under a lot of pressure. I am a hard worker and a team player, and I love playing on teams with highly skilled players who truly understand the beauty of this game and appreciate it as much as I do. I've dreamed of playing at the college level since I was ten years old. As an "Army brat" who moves every two years, I have had to constantly adjust to new environments. But the two things that have been constant throughout my life are family and soccer. I can't imagine not playing and I would work hard for any team that gives me the chance to be part of it. I have been raised with strong values of teamwork, effort, excellence, and commitment. These values are important to me with both academics and soccer. For these reasons, I am confident that if given the opportunity, I would be an asset to any college team and community.
