My name is Sofia Levine and I currently play soccer for Kansas City Athletics based in Overland Park, Kansas. I’ve primarily played striker or attacking midfielder for the past 11 years with significant time playing defense this year as well.
Playing for so long has not only made me a great forward, but has given me different perspectives on and off the field, and has strengthened my soccer IQ. I play and understand soccer at a very technical level but also as a very mindful sport.
Using the soccer skills I have developed over the years has made me hungry to play on teams with like-minded girls who have a strong desire not only to win but to learn and grow at the same time.
As I look towards my future as a student athlete in college I want to combine my love for playing soccer at an academic institution that not only challenges me but offers me the best possible opportunity for success on and off the pitch.
