My name is Kelsie Buemi and I'm a Senior at Scott High School. I've played soccer for my high school since the 7th grade and started Varsity since the 10th grade. I also play Varsity basketball and softball which I've played since the 8th grade. Over the years I had to decide which sport I wanted to pursue past my high school years and without a doubt I want it to be soccer. What made my decision was when my team went to the District Championship against Campbell County High School. They were favored to win the District and it really lit a fire in my team because we knew we were better. We came out of the game 1-0 and won the Championship, despite what everyone said. This led us to play all the way to the Regional Championship where we lost to the #1 ranked team in our region 1-3. The feeling I had in that game is what I want to achieve in every game. While playing soccer, I'm interested in studying or majoring in Criminal Justice. I don't really have a specific geographic area that I am looking into.
I believe my best qualities are hustle, being coachable, and bringing energy to the team. Being a Forward/ Midfield, I know that I need to hustle and put 100% into every play. My coaches in past years have put me in the game to give the team energy when we really needed it. I believe my leadership helps the team get that energy. As a high school student, I take college classes at one of my local colleges Northern Kentucky University and have remained at a 3.5 GPA.
