My parents have had the most influence on my life because I know that without them my academic success nor athletic success would be possible. My first club coach Chris Mitchell is the first one who realized my true potential and showed me how to use it to my advantage. I first started soccer when I was 5. There was a flyer hanging up around my elementary school about a recreational team my school was starting. My mom had saw it one day while picking me up and eventually put me on the team, and everything else from that point on is history. I've learned to have strength through adversity. In soccer, serious injuries came up a lot more frequently for me than my teammates and it took a lot of strength from me to work through those injuries and get back on the field time and time again. As of now I will be graduating it the top portion of my class as Summa Cum Laude when I cross the stage. I plan on majoring in engineering, but I do not know what type of engineering yet. Not only have injuries been huge obstacles for me; so has doubt. During my middle school years I would hear lots of doubt from coaches I encountered along with the parents on the sidelines, and all of that pushed me to work harder so I could be great. I didn't want to be just average. Me being left footed isn't as common as a right footed player, and I use it to my advantage along with my speed to try and create scoring opportunities for my team.
