I began learning how to swim when I was young, while also trying other sports such as soccer and gymnastics. When I was about eight, I realized my enjoyment for swimming and joined the Parkersburg Sharks swim team in Parkersburg, WV. I loved the sport and being around my coaches, who guided me, and my teammates, who supported me. In 2016, my family moved to Baton Rouge, LA, which had a completely new and different environment compared to the smaller town of Parkersburg. One of the first things me and my family did upon settling in BR was look for a suitable swim team for me to join. Of the few clubs in my area, I became part of the Crawfish Aquatics team and have been with them ever since. I discovered the passion I currently have for swimming when I began high school in 2020 and decided I wanted to pursue the sport in college. My ultimate goal is to succeed academically in my studies and also athletically as a swimmer for the rest of high school and through college.
