Katelyn Burns '14 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5’2” center defender from Baton Rouge, LA. I currently play for the eagles at Parkview Baptist High School. I also play for BRSC. Throughout my years of high school I have played three years of volleyball, two years of pole-vaulting. This past high school season I was awarded captain, Defensive MVP, and 2nd team All-District. Academically I have received several awards for obtaining a 4.0. I have 10 years of soccer experience with recreational, club, and school teams, giving me the opportunity to play at many different levels of competition. My largest strength is defending. I have an ambitious strong willed personality and this ambition and determination carries onto the field and weight room. I love all my teammates they are like family to me. I am a very coachable player. I have decided on my major being Kinesiology and a minor in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology. Where I can further my education after college and become a Physical Therapist. I am looking for a college anywhere in the United States where I can get a great education, financial assistance would be awesome.
