UPDATE: 11/26/23
My name is Bryleigh Taylor, and I am from Bourg, Louisiana. At the moment I am currently a sophomore attending Delta State University. I am a part of the women’s soccer program here at Delta State as a forward/winger but would consider myself a utility player having in my past played mid, defender, and forward. After two good years here at Delta State, I have decided to hit the transfer portal to further my soccer career and education elsewhere for a better step and look into my future. I decided to hit the transfer portal in hopes of taking the next step in my future as a soccer player. Here are some things that I have accomplished during my time in high school and my last two years in college. During my high school career, I attended Houma Christian School in Houma Louisiana. During my high school years, I have had many successes leading up to the player I am today. During my sophomore year of high school, I was a forward and winger with 18 goals and 12 assists. I made 1st team All-District and 2nd team All-State. In my junior year of high school, I was a forward with 28 goals and 10 assists with the honor of being named 1st team All-District and 1st team All-State. I was also nominated multiple times for the Barker Honda Player of the Week. In my senior year of high school, I was a forward with 38 goals and 10 assists. I was also honored with receiving 1st team All-District and 1st team All-State. I was also named MVP within my district and was given the opportunity to play in the All-Star game at the end of the season with multiple talented players in the state of Louisiana. During my senior year of high school, I was nominated multiple times for the Barker Honda Player of the Week award and won. During my college experience, I found myself improving and learning new things about myself and how to become an overall better player, I believe that even with success in the past a player could always improve. During my freshman year of college, I played as a forward and winger. I used my freshman year as an opportunity to improve as a player on a collegiate level. In my sophomore year of college, I saw my hard work paying off earning a starting spot in 8 games. I played in 16 out of 17 games due to concussion protocol for one game. I played 542 minutes this season. If I could describe myself as a player in three words, I would say I am hard-working, driven, and determined. I want what's not only best for me but for whatever team I am playing on. I am hard working on and off the field not only as an athlete but as a student as well. My GPA consists of a 3.5 and throughout my high school career with a 3.7 GPA. I am driven and determined to be the best version of myself and will do anything I have to do to be that best version of myself.
Here attached are my soccer highlights from high school and college. I am number 12 and 2.
