Personal Statement

I am a goal setter!  For as long as I can remember, I have set goals for myself each soccer season. I am happy to say that I accomplished and/or exceeded my goals this past season.  As a freshman on my high school soccer team I made starting varsity as a striker (about 50 girls tried out). I was also the team's highest goal scorer.  Additionally, I had the most minutes played each game, of any player (typically 70 plus minutes out of 80).  I added a lot of speed to my team as well.  I train hard at the track in the summer and can run about a 6 minute mile.

I won the Newcomer Award at our team sports banquet.  I was also nominated for 3 all star teams. I was the only freshman in the state nominated to the Class B South All Star team. I made the KVAC All Conference team and was also nominated by our local paper for one of their all star teams.  On my off season from high school soccer, I play on a 16U premier soccer team for Central Maine United. I will continue to set goals and work harder each season.  I am a hard worker and highly motivated.  I am a team player and believe in using a lot of communication on and off the field.  One of my long term goals is to play soccer in college.  This is my dream.  I am confident that if I continue to work hard and set goals, that this will be a reality.  I am a great student as well.  I am taking several honors classes while maintaining honor roll status.

* UPDATE

I have had two very successful seasons since.  Both my sophomore year and junior year were great years for me.  This past season our team made the playoffs for the first time in 5 years.  It was a huge accomplishment.  I am so very hopeful that we will be able to play this fall and I will have a successful senior year.  I have also continued with club soccer and even traveled to Spain to experience international play!  I am still setting the goal to continue to play in college.

By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
